Gerard F. McGrath

Gerard F. McGrath, 67, of Bushkill, PA passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 12, 1958, Gerard was the beloved son of the late Edward and Patricia McGrath.

Gerard shared 40 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Francine McGrath. Together, they built a family rooted in love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He is survived by his three daughters, Amanda Marth and her husband Andrew, Megan Widmer and her husband Joseph, and Patricia Cawley and her husband John. Gerard’s greatest joy came from being “Paka” to his treasured grandchildren: Kayson, Celia, McKenna, Vita, J.J., and Brynn, with whom he shared endless love, stories, and playful jokes.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Gerard had a deep passion for baseball—especially his beloved St. Louis Cardinals—and cheered faithfully for the New York Giants during football season. Whether talking sports, sharing his quick wit, or simply enjoying time with family. His sense of humor and endless supply of jokes will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He also shared a special bond with his loyal dog, Dobby, who was always by his side.

Gerard will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a loyal friend. His humor, and unwavering love leave a lasting legacy that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to shine through the laughter and love he inspired in those fortunate enough to have known him.

There will be viewings on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 10:00AM – 12:00PM and 2:00PM – 4:00PM at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.  Fr. Gregory Reichlen will conduct a prayer service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  Private cremation will follow.
