Geraldine M. Brown

  Geraldine “Gerry” M. Brown 81 of Bushkill, Pa. passed away on Tuesday Aug. 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Richard H. Brown Sr. Born in Astoria, New York, she was the daughter of James and Rachel (Ortiz) DeRosa.

  Gerry was a resident of the Bushkill area for the past 21 years and prior to that she resided in the Commack, New York area. She was a very active member of St. John’s Catholic Church in E. Stroudsburg, Pa. and was a member of the Knights of Columbia Columbiettes serving as their treasurer for many years.

  Gerry is survived by her children: Donna Landini and her husband Peter of Port Jefferson, L.I., N.Y., Richard G. Brown of Staten Island, N.Y., Jeffrey Brown of Bushkill, Pa. and Jennifer Kuks and her husband Michael of Virginia Beach, Virginia, her siblings: George DeRosa and his wife Joan, and Frances Lorenz, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and several special nieces and nephews. Gerry was preceded in death by a brother Robert DeRosa.

 A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday Aug. 18, 2023, at 11:00am from St. John’s Catholic Church 5171 Milford Rd. East Stroudsburg, Pa. 18302 with Fr. Gregory A. Reichlen as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the time of the Mass at the church.
