Gerald "Jerry" Robert Maly

Gerald "Jerry" Robert Maly, 70, of Stroudsburg, PA, passed away on August 7, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono. Born on December 31, 1955, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Francis and Susan Maly.

Jerry worked at Beaufab Mills Inc. until its closure and later worked over 26 years as a custodian for the Stroudsburg Area School District. He took immense pride in his work, rarely missing a day and braving all weather on his bike to get there. His commitment and work ethic left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Jerry loved gardening and sharing his harvest with friends and family, especially if they made something yummy with his home-grown vegetables. He also enjoyed fishing and crabbing with family and was an avid Mets fan who enjoyed attending games with family and sharing updates about the team.

Jerry truly loved his nieces and nephews, whom he loved as his own. He was an amazing uncle who never missed a birthday. He enjoyed spending time with them and spoiling them. He brought joy to family gatherings when they joined him cutting the rug with his lively dance moves. Everyone should be so blessed to have an "Uncle Jerry." He was truly a kind, family man with a heart of gold. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Jerry is survived by his siblings: Frank Maly (Deborah) of East Northport, NY; Susan Connolly of Rocky Point, NY; Russell Maly (Sharon) of Lido Beach, NY; Eric Maly of Stroudsburg, PA ; Kurt Maly (Deana) of Effort, PA; and Sharon Cramer (John) of East Stroudsburg, PA. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews and 18 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Edward and nephew Christopher.

Viewings will be held at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA on Wednesday, August 12 and Thursday, August 13 from 4-8 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 14, at 10 AM at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, 78 Ridgeway Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery.
