Gary David Sanford, Jr., 45, of Henryville, Pennsylvania died Saturday, December 13, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Monroe in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He was the loving husband of Linda Sanford with whom he shared 17 years of marriage. Born in Dover, New Jersey, he was a son of Gary David Sanford, Sr. and Barbara Ann Loveland.
Gary and Linda were high-school sweethearts and enjoyed a wonderful life together. He worked as a chef at the Shawnee Inn for 16 years. Gary enjoyed his job and cooking for others. He liked to play video games, collect comic books and played ice hockey when he was younger. If you knew Gary, you knew he loved the New Jersey Devils and the New York Giants and would always cheer them on. His greatest pride was being an uncle to his beautiful nieces.
Along with his wife Linda M. Sanford, he is survived by his siblings: Dawn Loveland Medina and her husband, Michael Medina; Tammy Sanford and her husband, Ray; Eileen Dietzold; nieces Isabelle and Cameron Stokes; sister-in-law: Valerie Sendner and her husband, Thomas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends.
A memorial service will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 N 5th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Private cremation was entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
