Frances A. Monk

Frances A. Monk, 77, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Sunday, August 9, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Easton. She was the widow of Donald D. Monk with whom she shared 52 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2022.  Born in Trenton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ruth Vanisko.

Frances worked as a beautician prior to retiring. She lived in the Stroudsburg area for the past 14 years and prior to that in the Chesterfield, NJ area. Frances was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by her son: David D. Monk of Stroudsburg; granddaughter: Layla Monk; cousin: Theresa Brown of Swiftwater; and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Family will receive friends from 12:00PM until the time of service. Private cremation will follow.
