Felix Vurro

  Felix Vurro age 94, of Bushkill, Pennsylvania passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. He was the widower of the late Jean (Anderson) Vurro with whom he shared 72 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2021. Born in Long Island City Queens, New York he was the son of Jack and Albina (Pepe) Vurro.

 Felix was residing in the Bushkill area for the past 45 years and prior to that of Queens, NY.  He owned and operated various businesses throughout his lifetime. Felix was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

  Felix is survived by a son: Phillip Vurro, grandchildren: Gina; Christian; Frankie; Felicia; Jake; Jesse;Jillian, Vanessa; John; Jason; Michael; Philip; 18 great grandchildren and his sister: Rose Cosenza. He was preceded in death by a son John Vurro and two daughters: Deborah Parisi and Diane LoMonaco.

  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday September 30, 2025, at 10:00am at St. John’s Catholic Church 5171 Milford Rd. East Stroudsburg, PA 18302 with Fr. Gregory Reichlen as celebrant. Burial will be in the Sandhill Cemetery Bushkill, PA. The family will receive friends from 9:00am until the time of the Mass at the church. The Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th St. Stroudsburg, PA 18360 is in charge of the arrangements.
