Euripides Cartagena

Euripides Cartagena, 86, of East Stroudsburg, Pa. passed away on Friday March 25, 2022. He was the widower of Mitra (Fragoso) Cartagena. Born in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico he was the son of Arturo and Maria (Serrano) Cartagena.

Euripides was a resident of the E. Stroudsburg area for the past 7 years and prior to that he resided in the Bronx, New York area. He was of the catholic faith.

He is survived by his children: Luz Mercado and her husband James of E. Stroudsburg, Pa. and Wanda Cartagena and a son Euripides Cartagena Jr. both of the Bronx, New York, grandchildren: James Jr., Jasmin, Justina, Cynthia, Jose, Miguel, Felito, Arismary, Sasha, Wanda, Shayla and his great grandchildren: Mila, Oscar Antonio, Juan Oscar, Andrea Sophia, Edgardo Luis, Andrian Angela, Alyana and Alondra.

Visitation will be on Tuesday March 29, 2022 from 2-4:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.St.Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360 followed by a prayer service starting at 4:00pm. Burial with full Military Honors will be on Wednesday March 30, 2022 at 12:30pm in the Calverton National Cemetery Calverton, New York.
