Eugenia Maschkomasch

Eugenia Maschkomasch, 86, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at home with her daughter Lena, great niece Natalie and her children Angelina, Victor, and Anastasia by her side.  She was the widow of the late Alexander Maschkomasch, Sr. who died in 1989. Born in Russia, she was the daughter of the late Vasily and Fioktista Rumanzew.

Eugenia left Russia at the age of three and grew up in Venezuela where she worked as a beautician. She migrated to the United States in 1959 where she worked as a sewing machine operator, met her husband and later became a US Citizen in 1996. Eugenia enjoyed spending time at the beach and taking mother/daughter trips to Port Royal Hotel in Wildwood Crest, NJ. She led a life of service to others. Whatever anyone needed, she was there to assist. Eugenia was very active with St. Michael’s Orthodox Church in Paterson, NJ. She enjoyed helping others and made a positive impact on so many people.

Eugenia is survived by her daughter: Lena Maschkomasch and sister: Maria Romanow. She was preceded in death by her sons: Alexander "Alex" and Vasilio "Willie" Maschkomasch; brother, Alex Rumanzew, and sister, Tatiana Kovalev..

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:00AM at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 1501 Trinity Ct, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Private burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th St, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
