Duane F. Hunt

   Duane F. Hunt 87 of Saylorsburg, Pa. passed away on Tuesday March 26, 2024. He was the widower of Marion (Marsh) Hunt who died in 2018. Born in East Bangor, Pa., he was the son of Frederick and Muriel (Warrick) Hunt.

  Duane was a lifelong resident of the Pen Argyl, Pa. area. He was employed as a cable splicer for the Commonwealth Telephone Co. for many years, retiring in 2007. He was of the Methodist faith and was an army veteran.

  He is survived by 2 sons: Frederick D. Hunt and his wife Jennifer of Bridgeton, N.J. and Joseph W. Hunt and his fiancé Beth of Saylorsburg, Pa., 2 grandchildren: Sophia Hunt and Brayden Hunt and a great grandson Wyatt Hunt and his siblings: Patricia Guarry, and Richard Hunt. He was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Duer.

  Funeral services will be held on Monday April 1, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th. St. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360. Burial will follow in the Custards Cemetery Bartonsville, Pa. with full military honors.  The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the time of the services at the funeral home.
