Dorothy Ann Dileo

Dorothy Ann Dileo, 92, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, at home with family at her bedside.  Dorothy was born in Sturges, Pennsylvania.  After her marriage she moved to Levittown, later to Scranton, and spent her final years in Sciota, Pennsylvania. 

Dorothy loved the outdoors in her gardens and could revive any plant that was placed in her care.  She enjoyed reading and watching classic movies.  Everyone was introduced to her beloved pet parrot "Chiquita" when visiting.  She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her ability to provide comfort and support to all who were in need.

Dorothy is survived by her sons: Tim and Brian; daughter Catherine; grandchildren: Robbie; Kelly; Rachel; Brian; Dana; Emily; great grandson: Nathan; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Connie, daughter Donna, and grandson Jonathan.  Dorothy was a part of a large family of fourteen siblings, her thirteen brothers and sisters had passed over the years. 

There will be no services at this time.  Private cremation was entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. A private memorial will take place in the spring, her favorite time of the year.
