Debra L. Merwin

Debra L. Merwin, 69, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono in East Stroudsburg.  She was the widow of the late Joseph C. Merwin with whom she shared 44 years of companionship and 42 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2022. Born in East Orange, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Lois F. (Helm) Nicholls and the late Elmer R. Nicholls.

Debra enjoyed reading but her true calling in life was being a mother and later a grandmother.

She is survived by her sons: Steven Nicholls; Carlos Merwin; grandchildren: Steven, Jr.; Jorden; and Zion.

There will be no services at this time.  Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania 18360.
