David M. Benfield

David M. Benfield, 59, of Bushkill, Pennsylvania died Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his home.  He was the loving husband of Eileen Benfield with whom he shared 41 years of love and laughter. Born in Astoria, New York, he was a son of Rosemarie Benfield and the late David Benfield.

David worked as a custodian for the East Stroudsburg School District. Away from work, he enjoyed fishing and working on or building cars.  David was always laughing and making others laugh, he was the “fun guy” of the family. He also enjoyed listening to music and dance along to his favorite songs. David’s humor and caring will be missed by all who knew him.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children: David M. Benfield and his fiance, Diane Dookram; Daniella Gaughan and her husband, John, Davin Benfield; grandchildren: Makai; Isabella; Gracie; Briella; and brother Troy Benfield.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 1:00PM at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.  Family will receive friends from 12:00PM to the time of service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in his memory to the Stroudsburg Weslyan Church, 915 N 5th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
