Constance P. Updike

   Constance “Connie” P. Updike 96 of Stroudsburg, Pa. passed away on Thursday Jan. 12, 2023. She was the widow of George G. Updike. Born in Ashtabula, Ohio she was the daughter of Walter and Clara (Herleman) Payne.

  Connie was a resident of the Stroudsburg area for the past 14 years and prior to that she resided in the North Carolina area. She was employed as a High School Teacher for many years. She traveled extensively and participated in many bird watching trips.

  Connie is survived by a son: John C. Updike and his wife Amy of Stroudsburg, Pa. and Jennifer Toth of Washington, D.C., grandchildren: Jolene Smith husband Steve of Richmond, VA., David E. Updike of Philadelphia, Pa., Michelle Kraines husband David, and Julie Teague husband Brian all of E. Stroudsburg, Pa., and great grandchildren: Lilian F. Smith, Eliza Kraines, Jesse Kraines and Caroline Teague and nieces: Catherine, Sarah, Susan, and Carolyn and nephews, Phil and Tom Updike.  Connie was preceded in death by a sister Ellen Wood.

   Cremation services were provided by the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th. St. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360
