Clifford Kunkle Obituary

Clifford L. Kunkle, 78, of Stroudsburg passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021. Born in East Stroudsburg, PA he was the son of the late Nevin and Elaine (Newell) Kunkle.

Clifford was a carpenter for most of his life. He was also a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army. Clifford enjoyed raising his chickens and going fishing.

Clifford is survived by his children; Elaine Kunkle of Neola, Robert Sawada of Neola, and Erica Kunkle of West Virginia. He is also survived by his siblings; Linda Mahan of Michigan, Diana Kunkle of Michigan, Steven Kunkle of Stroudsburg, Collin Kunkle of Pennsylvania, and 6 grandchildren and 7great-grandchildren. Clifford is preceded in death by his grandson; Thomas P. Bartkovsky III, and by his sister Cindy Keeler, who passed away the same day as Clifford.

Cremation will be private. The Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc, 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donations may be made in Clifford’s memory to the Monroe County VA office.
