Claudia G. Dennis

Claudia G.Dennis, 66, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 20, 2026. Born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, she was the only daughter of Floyd and Sonya Getz. Claudia was a lifelong resident of the Stroudsburg/ East Stroudsburg areas.

Claudia served as a teacher for the East Stroudsburg Head Start Program for several years. She was of the Catholic faith. She liked to paint and do special crafts, gifting them to those around her.  Claudia was fiercely devoted to her only son who has autism. She was a strong advocate for him, providing supports wherever she was able at home and school.

Claudia is survived by her son Joseph Dennis of Kingston and her two brothers, Robert Getz of Florida and Peter Getz of Monroe County.

Private cremation services were provided by the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N 9th St. Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Burial of her ashes will be in the Mountainview Mausoleum at Prospect Cemetery East Stroudsburg, PA 18301, on Friday April 24, 2026 at 2:00pm.
