Christiane Jean

Christiane Jean, 54, of Bushkill, Pennsylvania, died Friday, August 2, 2024, at her home with her family by her side.  She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Fanfan with whom she shared many beautiful years of marriage prior to his passing in 2018. Born in Les Anglais, Haiti, she was a daughter of the late Elo Toussaint and Inercia Jean.

Christiane was a loving mother and dear friend to all who knew her. Shortly after arriving to the United States, she obtained her CNA license and worked for Ramapo Manor nursing facility. She loved her work and took pride in caring for others. She was a member of the church and loved to sing in the choir. Throughout the years, Christiane took life as an everyday opportunity to put love and appreciation onto everyone she encountered 

She is survived by her son, Richard Pierre; daughter Tanisha Pierre, granddaughter, Zarah Joy Sesay; siblings: Rical Jean, Jasline Occvil, Mikerlande Minvil, the Pierre Family and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Mount of Olives Haitian Church, 2060 Tanite Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 9:00 am, family will receive friends from 8:00 am to the time of service.  Burial will follow at Stroudsburg Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9thStreet, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
