Charles E. LaBar Sr.

   Charles E. LaBar Sr. 81 of Stroudsburg, Pa. passed away on Tuesday June 21, 2022. He was the loving husband of Pauline P. (Woomer) LaBar with whom she had celebrated 34 years of togetherrness. Charlie was born in Stroudsburg the son of Franklin and Viola (Counterman) LaBar Sr.

  Charlie was a lifelong resident of the Stroudsburg area and was employed as the head superintendent at the Delaware Water Gap Golf Course and Country Club for many years. He was of the Lutheran faith.

  In addition to his wife Pauline he is survived by his children: Bonnie Franklin of Summerville, S.C., Charles E. LaBar Jr. wife Debbie of Effort, Pa., Sandy Olsommer husband Matthew of Newfoundland, Pa., Michael LaBar wife Jeanine of Jacksonville, Fl.; step children: Paul Rowe wife Elizabeth of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Theresa Rowe and Victoria Easterday husband Larry all of Bangor, Pa., Kathy Clark husband Henry of Stroudsburg, Pa. and Susan Bush of McMichaels, Pa.; Brothers: Franklin LaBar Jr. and Bruce LaBar, sisters: Dorothy Silfee, Diane Silfee, Carol Brush and Theresa Rauh; 27 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Charlie was preceded in death by a daughter Cynthia Steur and a brother Donald LaBar.

   Funeral services will be held on Friday June 24, 2022 at 4:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.St.Stroudsburg, Pa. with Rev. Elizabeth A. Koerner officiating. Cremation will follow the services. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4:00pm at the funeral home prior to the services.
