Cecelia Govan

Cecelia Govan, 63, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Sunday, September 3, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Bartonsville.  She was the loving companion of James McCrimon with whom she shared 45 wonderful years.  Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Sonny and Ossie Govan.

Cecelia enjoyed journaling and reading, especially her bible.  She appreciated her classics; from black & white shows to the original Frankestine and Dracula movies, loving horror films.  Often times, you could find her singing along with her daughter to gospel music or any tunes that were positive, feel-good songs or partaking in crocheting.

She is survived by her children: Shaquan, Charee, Danielle, Salina, Starr, Alex, Chris and Kadeem. Her sisters, Emily, Cynthia and Estelle, brother Rob, 12 grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.  Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania 18360.
