Catherine “Kay” Fordham, an intrepid adventurer, a devoted wife, beloved mother, and passionate grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, March 2, 2026, at the age of 102. Born on September 20, 1923, Kay grew up in Cranford, New Jersey, where she would later build a happy life with her husband, William Fordham and raise their three children.
In the mid-1980s, Kay and Bill retired to LaBar Village where Kay became President of the condo well into her 90s. She was always there to help her friends and neighbors, whether it was with valuable advice or hands-on assistance. They moved to Pennsylvania where they pursued their shared passion for golf. Kay’s skill on the course earned her distinction as a champion at The Water Gap Country Club throughout the 1990s.
Those who knew Kay will remember her for her curiosity, sincerity, unwavering kindness and sense of humor. Her chocolate chip cookies were everyone’s favorites. Her family and friends take comfort in the lasting legacy of love she leaves behind.
Kay is survived by her three children: Susanne, Charles and Mark; as well as four grandchildren: Scott Feldman; James Fordham; Katie Bernotsky; and David Fordham; and two great-grandchildren, Charlie Fordham and Fiona Fordham.
All will continue to cherish her memory and the grace she brought to their lives. Further arrangements will be announced by the family.
Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th St. Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
