Carolyn A. Klinger

Carolyn A. Klinger, 84, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died on Tuesday August 1, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. She was the widow of Harlan “Gene” Klinger with whom she shared 34 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1990.  Born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Evelyn (LaBar) Fox.

Carolyn enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and squirrels in her backyard.  She looked forward to the annual trips to Knoebels and appreciated time with her family.  You could sometimes find her sharing an ice-cold beer with her son, Vic.

Carolyn is survived by her children: Harlan “Gene” Klinger; Cindy Clark; Victor “Vic” Klinger; Robin Starkes; and Suzanne Hendershot; grandchildren: Carolyn Cruz; Monica Decker; Robert Clark, III; Karen Klinger; Thomas Starkes, Jr; Angel Klinger; Victor Klinger, Jr; sisters Joyce Hallet; Joanne Trayes; Connie Newby; and many great and great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her siblings: Barbara Counterman; Marilyn Adams; John (Jack) Fox, Jr. , Delores (Dolly) Faulstick and granddaughter, Allison Klinger.

Graveside services and interment will take place on Thursday Aug. 10, 2023, at 11:00am in the Prospect cemetery East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc. 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
