Carmen Delia Torres Morales, 78, of East Stroudsburg, died Friday, December 31, 2021 at Concourse Rehabilitation and Nursing in Bronx, New York. She was the loving wife of the late Hector Morales with whom she shared over 30 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1996.
Born in San Turce, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Ramon Torres Velasquez and Frances Rodriguez.
During her working career, Carmen was a nurse for both in-hospital and nursing home settings. She was always on the go, remaining active daily and putting others before herself. Anytime you visited “Mama Carmen” she always made sure to make you a home-cooked meal.
She is survived by her son, Javier Morales; daughter-in-law Damaris Diaz; grandchildren Christopher and Alissa Morales, all of East Stroudsburg; brothers: Enrique Torres of Ponce, Puerto Rico; Robert Roman of Brooklyn, New York; sisters: Nilda Luz Torres and her husband, Eliud Hernandes of Miami, Florida; Catalina Arocho of Brooklyn, New York, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 8, at 5 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc, 23 N. 9th St., Stroudsburg.
