Carla Mae Shafer, 54, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at her home. Born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Carl Shafer and Linda Stokes.

Carla enjoyed socializing and making daily phone calls to her family and friends. You could find her sitting on her front porch greeting passersby as she enjoyed a relaxing smoke. She was an amazing grandmother and mother, taking care of and loving her family above all else.

Carla is survived by her daughters: Kristin Kopp and her companion, Jermaine Evans; Kelly Kopp; siblings: Victoria Smith; Denise Lapp; Lisa Sargent; grandchildren: Jordyn Kopp; Kaliya Evans; Kal-el Evans; nieces and nephews: Jennifer Sargent; Jami Sargent; Kristina Smith; Chelsea Smith; JC Lapp; Daniel Lapp; Michael Lapp; Brian Lapp; grand puppies: Jupyter; Nova; and cherished close friends.

A service will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Salvation Army Church, 226 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
