Bryan Barton Obituary

Bryan R. Barton, 39 originally of Plainfield NJ, currently of Stroudsburg, PA passed away suddenly at St. Lukes in Bartonsville on March 9, 2023.

He loved his family, making people laugh, fishing, and helping who ever he could. Bryan’s laugh was contagious, and he was loved by many for his sense of humor. Bryan was a natural storyteller; he was compassionate and kind. He loved Dad jokes, and going on “adventures” with Lucy, Charlie, and his friends. He was often working on multiple DIY projects, Gunsmithing, or woodworking. He loved music and documentaries; and was always trying to learn something new. His notebooks are full of ideas for projects and plans for the future.

He was a wonderful Husband to Kate and Stepdad to Charlie. There are not enough words to detail all the love, support, and joy he brought into his home. His generous spirit carries through his passing as he was able to grant the gift of sight after his death.

Bryan is survived by his wife Katie Barton, his stepson Charles DeAngelo, and his son Grayson M. Barton. He is also survived by his mother, Rosemary Uram-Barton, half-sister Tonya Barton, and half- Brother Jason Barton, his Uncle Richard Barton and many cousins. His In-Laws, Michael and Marjorie Heitman, his beloved German Shepard Lucy, and the family cat, Duck. He was predeceased by his younger brother Matthew Barton, and Chester Barton both of Chester, NJ.

Bryan was not a religious man, but he always hoped upon his passing he would be reunited with his many dogs, including Rocky who he always said, “Rocky saved me as much as we rescued him.” In lieu of Flowers please consider making a donation to Awsom Animal Rescue, Camp Papillion Animal Rescue or the Till Valhalla Project, all causes he was passionate about.

There will be a private funeral service at the convenience of the family, as a Viking funeral is still not a legal option in Pennsylvania.
