Barbara Sattur

Barbara E. Sattur, 90, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving children. She was the widow of the late James J. Sattur, Sr. with whom she shared an amazing 66 years of marriage at the time of his passing in November of 2019. Born in Freehold, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Robert Arlen and Helen (Balog) Rossi.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with James Sr, collecting any form of angels, photos of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, reading romance novels, and cooking for her family.  More than anything, Barbara loved being a wife, mother, grandmother(Mommom), and great grandmother (Mommommom).  She often stated, “I’m a mom, that’s what I do.”  She loved to knit and had a holiday tradition of making sweaters for her family at Christmas.  Barbara's love and devotion to her family were a model for all to live by.

She is survived by her daughters: Barbara “Barbie” Raab and her husband, Richard; Christina Garner, Carole Sattur, sons: John Sattur and his wife, Suzanne; Robert Sattur and his wife, Barbara; James Sattur, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie; grandchildren: James III, Bobbi Lynn, Austin, Kelly, Brian, Douglas, Kristen, Meagan, Courtney, Trevor, Dakota; great grandchildren: James IV, Anna, Dustin, Kensley, Raegan, Zachary, Noelle, Charlotte, Olivia, and Ryleigh.

There will be no services at this time.  Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
