Barbara Ruth Jones

      Barbara Ruth (Weisenflue) Jones 72 of Jim Thorpe, Pa. died on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021 at St. Luke’s Miner’s Hospital Coaldale, Pa. She was the widow of Terry Jones who died in 2000 after nine years of marriage.

  Born on July 21, 1949, in East Stroudsburg, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Katheryn K. Weisenflue. Barbara lived most of her life in the Monroe County area, graduating from an all girl’s school, St. Gertrude School in Washington, D.C. She was a former member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Stroudsburg. She has a love for all animals. Barbara brought so much joy and laughter to those who knew her and was cherished by many.

  She was preceded in death by her husband Terry, parents Robert and Katheryn, Aunt Ruth Menzel of E. Sandwich, MA. and Aunt Beth S. Stevens of E. Stroudsburg, Pa.

  Graveside funeral services and burial will be held on Thursday Dec. 23, 2021 at 1:00pm in the Gates of Heaven section of Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg, Pa.

  Memorial donations can be made to either Camp Papillion Animal Shelter or AWSOM Animal Shelter, both in Stroudsburg, Pa.
