Barbara Orlando-McComb

Barbara Orlando-McComb, 75 of East Stroudsburg, PA passed away on Sunday Oct. 12, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Brady) Colbert. Barbara was residing in the E. Stroudsburg area for the past 25 years and prior to that of Middle Village, Queens, NY and her early years were spent in the Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY area.

Barbara retired as a cafeteria worker at JT Lambert Intermediate School. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg, PA.

Barbara is survived by sons: Andrew Orlando and his wife Filiz of Merrick, NY; Steven Orlando and his wife Christine of Bloomsburg, PA; Michael D. Orlando and fiancé Melissa Hempstead of Toms River, NJ; 5 grandchildren: Penny, Justin, Nick, Vincent and Ryan; sister: Eileen Lapping and her 3 children: Erin and husband Mike Shay and their 2 sons, Sarah and Husband Kenny Godshalk and a son, and Thomas Lapping and wife Jessica and their children and nieces, Jan Colbert and Katie Fox; nephew Brian Pankowski and his wife, Becky and their 3 children.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Daniel McComb, sister Patricia and husband Stanley Pankowski, and son John Pankowski, and a brother Joseph Colbert and wife Kathy and his son Joseph Colbert III.

A Catholic Prayer service will be held on Saturday Oct. 18, 2025, at 4:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th St. Stroudsburg, PA 18360 with Fr. Donald Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 11-1:00pm and 3-5:00pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services with burial of her ashes at a later date.
